This was it! The end of micro weddings and the beginning of what felt like the return of proper big normal weddings and the kicking off of what would be an insane wedding season for me. Aimee and Isaac's early July wedding at Saltmarshe Hall was everything that I loved about shooting weddings - an amazing grand old house for a venue, a beautiful couple, great suppliers, and a hot summers day!
Saltmarshe Hall is a stunning house not far from the river Humber on the outskirts of Hull. Beautifully decorated throughout, the venue has the capacity for indoor and outdoor ceremonies through use of its walled gardens. A & I opted for the latter on their day as the weather was perfect for their 90+ guests to sit out in during the ceremony. The outdoor ceremony space was styled by Imagine Events and featured a floral Moon gate with a white runner down the aisle to complement the surrounding greenery of the gardens. All Occasions provided the bridal parties bouquets and floral styling on the staircase of the house and external columns, with beautiful green foliage and white roses. Stationery was provided by Marys House Designs for the menus and table names.
Aimee went for an incredible dress from the Essence of Australia bridal suite, shoes from Sophia Webster, and make up provided by Lauren Eddy with her hair styled by Olivia James. The guys were dressed in suits provided by Marc Darcy and arrived in style in a classic VW Camper Van courtesy of the Yorkshire Wedding Car Company. The couple had chosen Brad Matthews to provide Music throughout the day, with an acoustic guitar set during the ceremony and throughout the drinks reception, before providing a DJ set supported by Sarah Potts on Saxophone in the evening.
