S & P at Aswarby Rectory

Aswarby Rectory, Weddings

The Old Rectory at Aswarby is a venue that I have always wanted to shoot at, so when I got the chance to shoot at the wedding of Sophie and Paul there a few months ago I jumped at it! This grand old house in Lincolnshire is full of understated style and elegance thanks to an incredible refurb job carried out by the new owners Donna and Richard. The venue was dressed beautifully by Sophie and Paul who chose the awesome florist Number 27 for their floral styling, along with some amazing details such as a personalised neon sign organised by their wedding stylist This Will be Forever. Sophie was dressed in a stunning dress by Daughters of Simone while Paul and his groomsmen wore classic tuxedos from Moss Bros.

This pre-lockdown wedding seems like a distant dream now after everything that has happened over the last few months. Editing images of people laughing and hugging together seem almost surreal and only serve to make me miss shooting epic weddings even more. I can’t wait until weddings start again, hopefully in a few months!
